This is one rumor we hope is true: Costco’s Twisted Churros are coming back.
Costco, like many other chains, has a long history of discontinuing popular food court items. Costco’s twisted churro was removed from the chain’s food court menus much to the chagrin of its customers, just like what happened to the Chick-Fil-A chicken salad sandwich, the Little Debbie Apple Flips, and Cracker Barrel’s sweet potato pancakes.
Costco watchers noticed that on its social media pages, the big box store was hinting at the return of a fan-favorite food court item. Would it be the chicken bake or the combo pizza slice? There were plenty of options for long-time food court customers to consider.
Now, it seems that the mystery item is none other than the Twisted Churro. “A few employees took to Reddit to share that it is indeed the Churro that’s returning. One user even commented stating a store had already begun selling them on Monday,” reports Instagram account MNMTwinz.
This is very good news for anyone with a churro-sized hole in their heart and a need for a little cinnamon-flavored treat to look forward to after wrangling big bargains on bulk household supplies and cases of Kirkland bottled water.
The churros are expected to be back soon, but only for a limited amount of time. Maybe if we all ask nicely Costco will bring back the giant soft cinnamon sugar pretzels next. And does anyone else remember those hand-dipped ice cream bars they used to offer?
